Focus Leadership Institute

At Focus Leadership Institute, community isn’t just a nice idea. It’s a priority. And what you get out of it depends on what you put into it.

Faculty and staff lead the way by sharing their homes and their families with you. Meals together, honest conversation over coffee and tons of fun in the Colorado outdoors provide the backdrop for the growth of community. Student leaders are also encouraged to create their own community-building experiences, whether spiritual or recreational.

What’s more, the FLI staff strongly believes that what you learn in the classroom isn’t complete until you’ve lived it out. So after your professor tells you that good communication is vital for a healthy marriage, your residence life staff will help you to actually practice great communication with your roommates. And where biblical principles for community life seem difficult, we’ll walk through them with you, modeling for you and holding you accountable. Community isn’t always easy, but community done right is absolutely worthwhile. Together, we’ll learn to love God and love others just a little better each semester.

In keeping with the mission of the Focus Leadership Institute, the Student Services team exists to provide programs and services within a Christ-centered community that promote academic success and integrate living, learning and faith in a way that maximizes the potential for lifelong growth and wellness.
